Tea Oracle

Overview

Tea Oracle explores how AI can transform an everyday habit into a more intentional ritual. Built in a 2 hour prototyping session using Lovable and Claude, the project demonstrates rapid AI-assisted product development from concept to interactive experience.

Tea Oracle is an AI-powered reflective web application that combines tea, intention, and journaling into a personalized experience. Instead of simply recommending a tea, it encourages users to slow down, set an intention, and receive a curated ritual with personalized reflections.

Design Challenge

  • People often choose tea out of habit rather than intention. I explored whether AI could help transform a simple daily routine into a more mindful ritual.

Approach

  • Instead of building screens first, I defined the target audience, the user journey, the emotional tone as well as the information architecture. Then I translated these into structured prompts for Claude before rapidly iterating in Lovable

  • Over multiple iterations, I refined the visual identity, typography, navigation, responsiveness, and AI prompt behavior until the prototype felt cohesive

As someone who enjoys exploring different teas, I realized that most tea apps focus on searching for information rather than creating meaningful rituals. I wondered whether AI could help people choose tea based not only on flavor, but also on mood, intention, and reflection.

The Solution

I built the "Tea Oracle" for tea enthusiasts who don't just drink tea, they live it.

A typical experience begins on the homepage with the user going to “Find My Tea” and selecting an intention rather than a tea. The Oracle then introduces a recommended tea and explains why it suits that intention and its symbolism. The user can save the experience to a personal journal alongside reflections and ratings. Finally, curious users can explore an interactive globe to discover teas from around the world.

Tea Oracle reframes something ordinary as an act of intention and it transforms the normal tea drinker into someone greater. Someone with awareness and intention who lives their life fully as they maximize on the benefits of the tea in their cup. This is a tool that helps us to live with more intention- one cup at a time.
